Preventative Maintenance

Much the same as your vehicle, your air conditioning system requires an annual maintenance program to ensure its continual performance season after season. At Benchmark Air Conditioning & Heating, we will be happy to provide exactly that! Our annual preventative maintenance agreement will include a minimum of two bi-annual
visits in which we will perform a thorough checkup of your A/C system and also report any deficiencies we may find.

Lubricate motor bearings as required.
Install customer-furnished air filters.
Check cooling coil, if accessible.
Check operating pressures.
Take temperature drop across coil.
Check Freon charge.
Check thermostat and controls.
Clean condenser coil.
Set dampeners for summer operation.
Check safety controls for correct operation and settings.
Check superheat setting.
Check voltage and amperage draw.
Check contactors and starters.
Check compressor operation.
Check condensation drain.
Check air conditioning disconnect.
Check air return vents for proper air circulation.

Check thermostat for proper calibration.
Examine all internal electrical connections.
Install customer-supplied air filters.
Check operations of safety controls.
Check pilot and clean as necessary.
Check fan and limit control.
Check heat anticipator.
Check heat relay.
Check furnace flue for proper draft.
Check heat exchanger.
Check gas input pressure and air adjustment,
adjust burner flames as necessary.
Carbon monoxide test.

Inspect circuit board.

As a preventative maintenance agreement client with Benchmark Air Conditioning & Heating you will also have the benefit of a "priority status." Should your system require a repair within your servicing year, you will receive priority among any other client we may be currently serving.
